What it is
HardcoreLedger tracks your hardcore runs in WoW: Forever. While a run lives, it climbs the Live Leaderboard — highest level, longest /played, most close calls survived, level brackets. When a run ends, it moves to the Memorial Wall, with a Last Stand death report: what killed you, where, and who witnessed it.
How to use it
- Download the zip — the addon plus the auto-uploader, one package.
- Install the addon — unzip the addon folder into
Interface\AddOns, then /reload in game.
- Run the uploader — double-click the
.bat. It starts with Windows and runs itself from then on.
- Play. Your runs appear on the leaderboard while they live. Deaths are recorded to the wall — yours and the ones you witness.
Why the .bat file?
Blizzard sandboxes addons completely: a WoW addon cannot reach the internet, ever. It can read the game and write to its own little save file — that's it. So the uploader, a tiny script you can open and read line by line, sits outside the game. It watches the addon's save file and sends new runs, close calls, and deaths to the leaderboard server. No launcher, no account, no background service phoning home — it touches exactly one file: the HardcoreLedger save data.
Warnings
- Data is community-uploaded and unverified. Rankings are only as honest as the uploads behind them.
- Hardcore is permanent. When your character dies, the run is over — the wall remembers, the board doesn't forgive.
- Only hardcore-mode characters are tracked. The addon ignores non-hardcore toons.
- Close calls are counted when you survive at very low health — the addon decides the threshold, not you. No padding your stats.
